2.) if he somehow he is fired because they know he will sign a deal with a other team and that would mean Clemson will pay way way less than the 60 million then there is no chance Brent Venables (not leaving Oklahoma anyway), Tony Elliott or Jeff Scott would ever coach here due to loyalty. Only one worth the head job here is Venables anyway. (See Jack ledger with Tim Corbin)
3.) if he does leave here and goes somewhere else on his own there will be tons of top coaches that would want this job. It pays in the top 5-10 in salary, the assistant salary pool is one of the tops in the country, has as many or more support staff than any job in the country, even though people
Don’t believe it, it offers top 20 in the country NIL plus full revenue sharing, routinely offers a schedule that is a easier path to the playoffs, has a great home environment and The new coach would instantly bring a better staff than the currently group and hopefully would keep Luke. (If you think Riley, Richardson, Spiller, Grisham and Conn at the least can’t be replaced with better coaches I’ve got an ocean front property in Utah to sell you). The new coach would replace any kids leaving in the portal with older more exp portal players and we would probably be better day 1.

The one thing you can’t do is fire him and lose 60 million. Just have to let this play out, either it turns around, the staff changes he makes in the offseason are vast, he stops with the friends and family scholarship offers and he brings in 10-12 portal players a year that are older and more mature ready to play or he is hired away and you can go get another really good coach that will bring a more dynamic staff in that also uses the portal better. It’s not doom and gloom unless his well seen stubbornness and arrogance wins out yet again and he keeps beating his head against the wall and refuses to understand what we did 4/5 years ago does not work in 2025 and 2026.

All just my opinion but from someone who worked in college football in two P4 conferences and FCS for years. It will actually be fine, this is not a Danny Ford to Hatfield, Tommy West scenario as
Long as the AD doesn’t botch it. We have the resources to swing for the fences if Dabo leaves on his own.
