CAL & STANFORD becoming ACC members.
Didn’t realize I came across as rude sunceU’ce been on both beautuful campuses, stadiums, bookstores (left PAW sticker on front of cashier’s front counter) plus walked into a CAL dorm to scout around.
So, I like them fine, know they are filled with lots of smart cookies, many Asians at Cal, etc..and they will upgrade tge scholaric standing of ACC even more..
but really wished for football purposes we would have gotten Oregon or UCLA or USCsr.

Possibly, he is saying he likes the university, and by extension, the people there just fine? It would seem that he has nothing against the university, he is explaining that the cross country trips for non-football, i.e. non profitable sports, seems to be an unintelligent waste of resources?
I know thats what I believe.

Again, no one is triggered. I just don't understand why the term Asians was even brought up considering the thread had literally nothing to do with Asians or, any race, for that matter.

Don't let the bastiches get you down, Asians is perfectly fine, Orientals however would be no bueno as you're not chatting up rugs et al.
And according to Cal-Berkeley, they report a lot of Asians.

It’s thoroughly studied and quite clear: Asians, as a racial designation by the US government, are the highest achievers in this country, and it’s not even close. Culturally, we have been conditioned over 40+ years to buck at the attribution of labels, etc. to groups, but it doesn’t make those groups less able to be described in general. I don’t give a rip from which “group” you originate as an individual - achieve, be accountable, maximize yourself, be excellent.

I once used the term "oriental" to describe someone China, Japan or somewhere over there. Friend told me that was racist as he'll. I still don't know what I did. Oriental means eastern and US hardly disrespectful.

Sorry you felt you had to re-explain your opinions.
For me it came down to 3 main issues:
1) Geographic fit- Dumb
2) Economic fit- Dumb
3) Cultural fit- Antithetical to Clemson
Double down! Never apologize for what you believe in, unless you're not being consistent.

No one was offended. I just think some of us are curious why the Asian race was even brought up. It had nothing to do with the initial message and reason for the thread. Very weird.
