When I think back on Brent Venables tenure, I feel like there a number of times when a safety or linebacker has come up an interception late in the game. Sometimes it’s the pick that seals the game.
Off the top of my head, I can remember Stephone Anthony against Ohio State in the Orange Bowl in 2013-2014. Ben Boulware against Oklahoma in the 2015 Orange Bowl where he then concussed Baker Mayfield on the return. K’Von Wallace against NCState in 2017. Nolan Turner against Notre Dame last year. Isaiah Simmons this year against UVA and Ohio State. Nolan Turner again against Ohio State this year.
What other ones are there? It just seems like sometimes by the 4th quarter he knows how to play coverage to get the pick
