Last play of the game

Why does Cade roll right? Why not stay behind the OL? Looks like he runs into a position of being pressured more that if he had stayed put. Not the only time during the game.

When he gets pressured he scrambles right. Remember the Tennessee bowl game?

It’s a bad habit he’s picked up from getting laid out on his blind side over the years. Flashback to Tennessee game, 2023 Florida state game.

I will also add after watching highlights that is probably the most pressure Cade has experienced in his career at Clemson so far. Not even Texas was getting to him that easy. LSU was bringing the house and Riley didn’t have an answer for it. SMU was bringing the house a lot against us last year but there was a big difference in talent and he had time to make up for it. We won’t see a D line this good again this year thankfully

Bingo - the story with our offense under Riley has been not being able to beat the pressure and press man coverage consistently. At this point with the WR talent and jr qb and year 3 for Riley, these should be easy looks for us yo move the ball on. Finding the open man and quick decisions is not Cade’s strongest areas. He never looks into the pressure for the open man when usually the open man is right where the pressure came from

The pressure was there yet and looks like there

Was a LsU player heading to that spot as he left the pocket. He panicked again for sure

Colin Harper used to always do that. Sometimes to the detriment of OL blocking if done too early

That was a designed rollout, the real question is why wasnt there a route crossing his face if they played it the way they did.

Exactly what I thought. Seems like he tried a desperation throw to a guy inside the five when all Clemson needed was 4 yards to the nine. Had there been a receiver closer to Cade it would have been an easy pitch and catch for a first down.

If he would have stepped up, slightly to the left, he would have had a clear view of the whole field and probably could have picked it up with his legs. Every pressure, and there were quite a few, had Cade bailing out to the right.
