Kudos to Caldwell

At the beginning of the year there seemed to be much talk of how the oline was going to struggle.
I think Coach Caldwell has done a tremendous job... and the future looks great. We had two true freshman tackles and two other red shirt freshman lineman play many minutes.. Hearns, Facinelli, Hyatt and Fruhmorgen.
How good will.those freshman be in 3 years??

Seems as recently as last year, there were some on here criticizing his ability.

still need to be more consistent, but finally showing some improvement. Mitch Hyatt is a beast, probably the best starter already

Yeah we are looking studly. A friend of mine thinks that it's our biggest weakness and I don't see it (I don't really see a weakness anywhere TBH)... They're playing great, the running game is obviously thriving... Love this team!

I remember in one of Dabo's preseason interviews he said

that he doesn't yet know how good the O-line will be (obviously) but that "this is the happiest he's ever seen coach Caldwell." I believe it was on Mark Packer's Sirius XM College Sports Nation show.
They've been pretty good, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. DeShaun has still taken a lot of hits this year, especially against UofL, ND and BC. I would say they've been slightly better run blocking than pass blocking. The run blocking against ND was particularly impressive. Now, I understand we annihilated Miami. It was impressive, to say the least. Hopefully they continue this upward trajectory and get better as the year goes along. So far I'm definitely thrilled with their performance considering the youth, but I would really like to see them improve in the pass blocking area.
