Ring of Honor
Ring of Honor I love the Ring of Honor we have at Clemson. I am glad we have it at Death Valley and I am also glad we extended it to other sports.
Clemson sent out the following release earlier this week asking for nominations: Nominations for the Clemson Ring of Honor are being acc

Danny Ford should have been included years ago. It's to Clemson's discredit, and probably someone's vindictive agenda, that this hasn't happened. That someone(s) does not speak for the Clemson family,... only themselves.

You read my mind. Although Danny Ford will probably go in Ring before Pete in the hall.
Both of these guys not being in respective elite kind of a slap in the face to the fans. Same disrespect displayed to readers who are passionate about their team and professional blogger too lazy to hit spell check or find an able body to skim for errors elementary school kids could catch.

Danny's accomplishments and contributions to Clemson lasted well beyond 1981. It continues to this day. And not just football, or sports in general, but Clemson University as a whole. He helped create monumental exposure for the school and helped us all believe in championship aspirations. People suffered no shame in his actions while here. He's represented us very well in all his days since and he genuinely loves Clemson like few others. If any being is worthy of Clemson's Ring of Honor it is Coach Danny Ford.

Anyone who says he's in the ROH with the 81 team

is discounting all of his other accomplishments.
Wins over Woody Hayes, Tom Osborne, Barry Switzer,
beating Notre Dame on their senior day,
the 4 conference championships and 6 bowl wins that he had outside of the NC season,
the 1983 conference title he would've won if not for the ACC unfairly giving us an extra year of probation
all of those hard fought battles with Vince Dooley and Georgia

My vote is for Danny! I don't think you'll get many (if any)

folks on here that would not like to see Danny in the Ring of Honor. The problem is on the BOT as you mentioned. Someone still has an ax to grind. Like you said, it's time to move on and do the right thing! Do what's best for Clemson and not one or two influential members whose feelings have been hurt for 25 years or so. One Clemson! Go Tigers!
