on today's lunch menu.
stopped on way home to pick up some milk for dawghater2toddler.
told wife I was ghana pick up some publix tendies for a wrap...
turns out, publix has Nashville Hot Chicken tendies.
lettuce, pico, nashville hot chicken tendies fresh out the heat lamp, ranch, cheese and all wrapped up and toasted on a panini press.
you peasants have a nice day down there. make sure to use your legs when rowing so you don't wear your back out

(I certainly don't think I did) but I lived in Nashville TN for 10 years - basically the decade of the 1990's - and NEVER, not once, ever heard of "Nashville Hot Chicken". Never went anywhere that served it, never read about it in the newspaper, or never heard anybody even talk about it. I knew about of the Prince's place but that was it, not a big deal. There was also "ChooChoo Hot Fish" when I lived in Chattanooga, but I just mostly chuckled at that name. Never went there either.
Weird that hot chicken has become such a "thing".

There were hot chicken and fish places all around ungentrified East Nashville 20-30 years ago, but yeah, the marketing term may not have been what it is now.

went for the housemade pastrami which they were out of it, the steak sandwich was good but I am still bummed about missing out on the pastrami
