Just a survey, who would rather join the B1G (TEN)?

They are pretty good in football and basketball, but their baseball sucks pretty bad. Would that make more geographical sense? Would the football schedules be an improvement over what we have currently with the ACC? Would it be a smart decision financially? Or are we better off staying in the ACC if that is our only option?

I am very acceptable to joining the Big 10,11,12,...,16 - uh - the conference with OSU and Michigan in it. No problem whatsoever there. It would be a blast.
Then we could play UNC or Duke in bball in the Big10/ACC challenge each year. JK.

NOTHING about that conference blows my skirt up. I will be a very happy man if we can be THE powerhouse in the ACC. Nothing delights me more than whipping UNC and those other wannabes. FSU, Miami, VPI, GT and a few others are quality opponents in my eyes ...... and I am not alone. A trip to Minn. or Mich. or some other yankee stronghold doesn't appeal to me at all. Just my 2 pesos worth!

There are a lot of youngsters on this 'bored' who just haven't been around long enough. Change is always better I guess.

Could it be possible to acheive a complete ACC Overhaul?

and develop it into a powerhouse? I wonder if anyone views the ACC like a "fixer upper?" or does that make it sound junky? What about a few upgrades then?

UNC is the Obama or GWB* to Texas' Kim Jong Il.

You guys all complain about how influencial UNC is in the ACC. But guess what...If we remove the UNC graduate/letterman/17 year athletic director from the commissioner's seat, and replace him with a professional, unbiased commish, that problem is gone. UNC can pull it's influence with NCSU from a state perspective, but that's no more powerful than Virginia. UNC can push itself as a premier basketball school...kind of like Duke, Syracuse, Maryland, Pitt, etc. But other than that, they are just another member of the conference.
TEXAS, on the other hand, is an unstoppable juggernaut, supreme Dear Leader of the Big 12. It does what it wants, when it wants, and no one can really do anything about it.
* (Depending on your political leanings.)
And it is absurd to say that the ACC is a basketball-only conference. Since it's creation, look at the schools it has added:
1978 - GT - Football school. 1991 - FSU - Football school (and reigning basketball champ). 2004 - Miami - Football school. 2004 - VT - Football school. 2005 - BC - Er..."school." (market grab) 2013 - Pitt - Sorry...arguably a football school (they need their stadium back, but they have won the national championship and do have a heismann winner. Plus, they're in a football town). 2013 - Syracuse - Basketball school.
This "problem" is so overstated. The ACC is fine. It's got the tools to be a great conference and will be some day soon.
