Here's a kid the experts and many fans said we shouldn't take. He was to small and couldn't play the point. Not sure why people couldn't see it but the kid is just a baller. Look, I love it when we sign 4 and 5 star guys in football, but Jordan Roper is exactly the type player that will get us back to being highly competitive in the league. He's young, makes some mistakes, like a lot of our guys. But he has heart and can put the ball in the basket. Him, along with guys like KJ, Coleman, even Rod Hall are the type guys who over 4 years will become excellent players. Toss in the more highly regarded guys like Filer and Blossomgame and the nucleus for excellent teams is already on campus. And just watch, we'll see a lot of improvement from Landry Nnoko next year. We're in these games on sheer grit right now because we're basically babes among men. I sure hope we fans will be patient and watch these guys grow up before our eyes

We were at the game tonight. I quote my wife " a star is born". They put Larkin in him, acc player of the year potentially, proud of the effort. Good crowd. Also saw 2 baseball games this weekend. We r young in these 2 sports. Cold as mess but glad to be home in tiger town. Great weekend here

I remember the consistent questions about JR being good enough to even be offered, why wasn't he loffered by more D1 schools, why are we offering such small guys like Andre young, Roper, etc...
I said then that here was a guy that we definitely should offer and that we would be pleasantly surprised by his contributions by the end of the year. We need to focus on players rather stars... players make plays, stars only produce flashes of brilliance but leave us wanting more that never comes...

I watched this guy play several times in high school as Irmo is one of our biggest rivals, there was one game i am convinced he was possessed by the basketball gods, he didnt miss ANYTHING. The guy is incredible, he will always have my respect.
