His weaknesses were defense and he couldn't get his shot off vs a long quality defender. They smothered him in the tournament.

Girard actually did pretty well offensively in the Alabama game, although the other three he struggled like you said. That just shows how good that team was; we shot terribly in the Alabama game and we still almost beat them. We had 8 threes (on 30% shooting from 3) compared to their 16 threes (on 44% shooting) and we lost by 7. The scoring ability that team had is insane, along with the depth. There wasn't a single player on the court at any point who couldn't put up 15 points (except maybe Clark although he was a defensive player).

I hope we can recapture that level of scoring so Elite 8 runs can become a regular occurrence and a reasonable expectation every year.
