Couple things
1. Surprised he left FSU
2.FSU probably would have given him a raise if he asked.
3.He is taking a big risk going to Texas AM
4. Texas AM is demanding not asking conference titles and a NC from him
5. I would have stayed at Florida state
6. Unless he knows there is a NCAA investigation coming soon...

he read the writing on the wall. I believe he was running the team two years before BB was fired. Being a new HC gave them a bit of boost but most of the NC team was there because of Booby.

Since then they've been going downhill without brakes. I first thought he was working on getting facilities and perhaps a raise but the reality that FSU was all to helll hadn't set in with me at that time.

I think he knew his days were numbered there because the ACC is the strongest football conference now. Someone joked that Jimbo could win easier at AnM than at FSU but there was great truth in that.
