Serious question here:

Does Dabo truly believe that all of those guys he just promoted/hired are the best that were available or is he so caught up in the culture/loyalty that he just takes chances to keep it intact?
I love the culture he has built and it has worked for him to this point, but when does he go out and make another homerun hire like he did with Venables? After a few more "down" seasons?
I assume he wants his legacy to be the family atmosphere and love, but when does it end up costing him?

When you say "semi-athletic"

Do you mean athletic like pretty good at multiple sports and with quick reflexes or do you mean if they trained for a while to run long distances, they probably could do so?

it didn't start out that way.
Semi-athletic, in this sentence, means born white.

I say until he had multiple bad seasons in a row, we give Dabo the benefit of the doubt that he certainly has earned.
Heck...ending 9-3, top 20 and a bowl game is seen as a horrible season...he must be doing something right!

Don't think it has to be 1 of the 2 options you've presented

Not sure he'll have to go "make another home run hire". Heck, maybe he has? Not sure it's about HIS legacy either. Moreover I think he's concerned with continuing to build a program that is successful. He's got his head down and is doing his job the best way he sees how to do it.
Perhaps....MAYBE, just maybe Dabo does really believe he's got the right guys on staff. Does he think they are the greatest coaches on earth? Probably not, and I'm sure he felt the same way about at least TE. Same with how he's viewed the portal for players. He'll opt for a program guy over a transfer and that seems to have worked out ok up to this point (a current 3 loss season maybe notwithstanding).
You nor I have control over the situation, so at this point we let it ride and hope Dabo has gotten in right. Using his head coaching history as a guide, I'd say he normally does get it right.
Let's just give it time and not freak out for the next 8 months waiting on kickoff for next season, KAY?

I have no doubt that if he thought Streeter

and Goodwin/Conn were huge chances or a roll of the dice, he'd look elsewhere.
Streeter has been here 8 years and from what I've read about Goodwin, it seems both are solid hires.

I've got to trust Dabo. I'm sure that the fact that they

were already on the staff was that he believes that they are quality coaches.
On defense I'll trust that Venables believed in them and that they were not only guys that he could trust but that they were also guys that contributed towards his success.
On offense I'm a bit more concerned just because I believe that an offense needs some new ideas and fresh thoughts from time to time. We'll see.

I believe Dabo has groomed them to take these jobs. He may have wanted another or two for a couple positions but I believe it's quite possible these guys were his first choice. I think everyone delight when they see what this group brings to the field. Not withstanding quarterback play. Unless we can run over our opponent at the LOS our QB play will not satisfy anyone but his mama.
