Transfer portal classes along with Butler, Iowa, Virginia and St Johns. Have to be subscriber so will include the comment about Clemson. - Clemson Transfers: G Jestin Porter (Middle Tennessee St), PF Jake Wahlin (Utah), SG Efrem Johnson (UAB), F RJ Godfrey (Georgia), C Carter Welling (Utah Valley), PF Nick Davidson (Nevada)
In a transfer portal cycle where bigs were all the rage, Clemson did a good job of nailing down three big men with D-I stats. The headliner of the group is Nevada transfer Nick Davidson. The 2nd-Team All-MWC performer averaged 15.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists this season, while also shooting 37.1 percent from three on 3.8 attempts. Brad Brownell could also slide under the radar to scoop 6-foot-11 Utah Valley sophomore Carter Welling (13.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks) and 6-foot-10 Utah sophomore Jake Wahlin (6.3 points, 4.9 rebounds).
Adding to the versatility, RJ Godfrey returned to his original home after a season’s hiatus to Georgia. Godfrey is a 6-foot-7 tweener forward and can provide different looks at either forward position. Middle Tennessee State transfer Jestin Porter should slide into the guard spot for Clemson as a guy who can create offense off the bounce and put pressure on the defense. UAB transfer Efrem Johnson should provide some experienced depth.
Getting an experienced guard in Jestin Porter, who can go get it in the half-court, is a value add for this Tigers team. But stockpiling on the bigs that have size but also allow Brownell to play with different looks makes this haul very intriguing. - Paul Strelow from TI also indicates loves the potential of Carter Welling on tweet. He has coached up the previous portal transfers. Expect it to be more of the same...

Guess you’re ignorant or missed the development of the past few transfers that have come through.
I assume a bit of part A, a bit of part B.

Looking forward to next season. TCU women's coach did the same last year. Took a bunch of portal transfers that hadn't really had previous success and they bought in to the program and ended up going deep in the tournament. So who knows what can happen.
