The key word here is charged.

It may well be that the girl got Winstoned but he hasn't been charged.
I'm a mind to believe that a man reaps what he sows. I'm hoping the federal investigators will discover the flaws in the original investigation and Winston will get charged, sent to prison and raped if he's guilty.

YEp..me thinks Winston did what was stated but got off since

the alleged female victim might have made some wrong moves from the start to finish (possibly being intoxicated at a bar, possibly accepting a ride with an almost stranger to another stranger's dorm, etc) and (putting herself in bad situation from the get-go and then going into his BR, etc).
Am I saying she caused or deserved what "might" have happened? NOo! I feel for her and what she endured but Football Stars (and most men) are going to win 99% of the time in this type of situation since it's him vs her word of what happened without witnesses (of which there were I read but neither made harmful remarks towards Winston's actions..and one even said she told him to shut the BR door).
Case closed.

This "made some wrong moves" stuff is pretty close to blaming the victim. The victim did a bunch of totally legal things, and then, allegedly, the perpetrator committed an illegal act upon the victim. This didn't have to be a "bad situation." To the extent that it was, that could only be the fault of the perpetrator. Put another way, a female should not need to anticipate rape just from going to a fellow student's apartment or bedroom. She should also not have to fear that every time she has something to drink.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to say women shouldn't exercise caution, but that should have nothing to do with where we place the blame for rape after the fact.

No means no. That said she used remarkably poor judgement getting into that situation. Not sure if she was a groupie or just too out of it to make a reasonable decision. Either way no one should have to go through that and I wish she had pursued charges.
I think the guy is a real strange character. I've never seen him interviewed that he did seem a little odd.

It really surprises me that anyone can blame the victim here. Even without a true investigation, the report states that the video shows that the woman did not appear drunk until she was "dosed" by the guy claiming to be Chris , "a football player".
Seems pretty silly to then blame a "drugged" woman for being hustled into a taxi by three dudes.
The major fact in this story (in my feeble mind) is that the cop that arrived at the hospital and "took over the case" also worked for the athletic fund raising arm of the university. That is a BLATANT conflict of interest.
I am betting you do not have a teenage daughter, if you think that this girl is to blame.

a few thoughts about this portion of your post,
him vs her word of what happened without witnesses > (of which there were I read but neither made harmful > remarks towards Winston's actions..and one even said > she told him to shut the BR door).
1. You are right there were witnesses and there was a video, both of which disappeared while the FSU cop patiently did nothing. 2. "you heard" that she told him to shut the door? Where did you hear that from someone's sisters uncle's brother's niece? It certainly is not showing up in any deposition or sworn statement...because there were not any from. 3. This may very well have ended the way that you and the FSU cop suggest. (he said she said, and no evidence)But here is absolutely no way that anyone can know that with the way it was handled.
If the accused had not been a high profile recruit or player at FSU, and had instead been a regular tuition paying guy and his pals, the situation would have been handled a whole different way!

Yeah, I mean, I could see someone being falsely accused, but the other girl had to seek counseling. Whatever Jameis is doing with his dates, he needs to tone it down, because you don't want someone you've just had sex with having to seek therapy afterwards.

Wow, I hope for the sake of the victim, the Tallahassee PD, and FSU's football team this isn't true. That isn't going to go over well in the national media.
