Jam Bands

Who ya like? Initially, I think of Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Phish, Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic - I'm sure I'm missing a few. Who else, and who's your favorite?

I know a lot of people don't like 'em, but I've always liked Dave Matthews Band - great musicians, eclectic sound, very diverse. You can hear the same song on 5 different live albums, and it's different every time and kinda fresh. Familiar radio friendly tunes mixed with classic "jam band" kinda songs makes them unique, IMHO.

Older Marcus King Band... a local kid from Greenville who can channel soul and blues into his guitar and shred. He has gone off on a little bit of a country flavor since getting hitched , but is still fantastic live and can blister the guitar with a very talented supporting band.

Always an Allman Brothers fan. Hear Tedeschi-Trucks similar sound. They are my next band to see live even if I have to travel.

You are just referring to listening to. NO concerts, right?

I am regular on DMB channel on XM radio and listening to Pearl Jam channel right now. Also, Lithium (90s rock), Bob Marley, Elvis, First Wave (80s Alternative), Willies Roadhouse...depends on the weather

All man Brothers are my favorite.

My favorite song is Mountain Jam. The only time I play it is opening weekend of college football. I blast it all through the house as soon as I wake up that Saturday.

Marcus King is a Wren High legend.

As an aside, Billy Strings can easily be your next addiction as well. There's not a single live song he's ever done that I haven't enjoyed. One of my fav concerts as well.
