I’ve officially become an Arkansas fan

Dec 6, 2017, 5:58 PM

Many will disagree and I don’t care. I’ve never really pulled for a SEC team. But I’m a Chad Morris fan and I want to see him do well wherever he goes.

Withholding judgement until I see who their DC ends up being.

It won't be BV. Seems kinda sh***y if Chad Morris really

Dec 7, 2017, 10:17 AM [ in reply to Re: I’ve officially become an Arkansas fan ]

went after him hard but maybe that's just me. I highly doubt it matters how hard he pursued him if he pursues him at all because it makes absolutely no sense for BV to leave to become a DC anywhere. We're talking about the guy that passes on HC opportunities to remain where he's at and has 2 sons committed to Clemson right now. People bring up that maybe he wants a challenge like that's the reason he left Choklahoma when in reality Bob Stoops was screwing him over and he really found himself in a toxic situation at OU.

I said the same thing when Danny Ford was hired

by Arkansas in the early 1990s....but the feeling faded after a couple of years. LOL

Course he won the SEC West. So has as many division "rings" as Uscjr. So there's that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Danny was hampered by Houston Nutt

Dec 6, 2017, 7:06 PM [ in reply to I said the same thing when Danny Ford was hired ]

At least that is what I was told at the time

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Chad should have talked with Danny. UT better job than

Arkansas if you ask me, despite Tenn currently being a dumpster fire. Arkansas still living in their 1960’s success. They will be hard pressed to win consistently in the SEC. if Danny could not do it, doubt Chad can either. Chad better hope to catch lightening in a bottle in year one or two and bolt for better job

I'm afraid CM has bitten off much more than he can chew. Hatfield won there sure but then it was a different conference! I like Morris and he will end up rich either way. Sometimes in big time college football it seems the best thing that can happen is to get fired.

I wonder how many recruits they lose just because the recruit just can’t see himself doing that pig call thingy?

Chad has the best chance to succeed at Ark because of his recruiting ties to Texas. He is a perfect fit there.. also runs the offense that a team not named Bama needs to run to compete in the west. If he can get a good DC, he will be successful there.

Great for Dabo as well to have his coaching tree bloom***
