Greenville wreck-commend-asians….

The fellas and I will be in G’ville this weekend imbibing at 8th State. Looking for restaurant recommendations nearby (not Smoke On The Water or Mellow Mushroom). Red Lobster is a given but looking for other options. Sirius replies get points. Non Sirius may also if lol-able.
TIA in advance

Today I found a wet $5 dollar bill in the washing machine while changing loads. I saw it as a sign from god, found cash is untraceable by the wife and presents numerous opportunities. So I blow dried that bitchh and went straight to Taco Bell. I ordered three cheesy bean and rice burritos, ate them, got sleepy, no regerts. That’s what you should do too.

A few casual ideas, in no order:

- Trio Cafe. A white table cloth Italian place, but casual and basic, not expensive. An actual wood fired pizza oven (no gas). Good wine and beer selection. If not sure between pizza or something else, get the feta dip app (which includes a small pizza) and an entre.
- Smiley's Cafe. Good music. A bar atmosphere, but food is surprisingly good. Always have a good time there.
- Chicora Alley. Upstairs, fun view of Main St. Casual southwest/Mex menu. Good beer selection. Fun staff. Music on weekends.
- Barley's. I know you're going to a brewery, but Barley's was named 4th best beer restaurant in the US by Maxim Magazine. If you think of it, they've got it, most of it on tap. The pizza there is very good, as is the bison burger.
All these are on Main, or a block off.

Love Trio. Chicora Alley has cilantro in everything (or so it seems) so I don't eat there LOL.

...and have them pour an IPA. Just sit it on the bar next to you. If they ask what's going on, just tell them you got that one for Bruce. Pretty sure they'll get it.

Brick Street Cafe is close I think. Great desserts.
Mac's Speed Shop - some good bar food.
Towards downtown, Grill Marks.
Off Main on McBee, my favorite lunch spot was always Greektown Grille.

Big TU for India Palace. When I was young and broke, I had some really nice lunches that ended up being free or close to free. Naresh is a very kind man.

One of the great secrets that few here know about...
May 11, 2022, 8:26 AM
|
|
the Italian Hero sandwich with spicy pepper relish from the Walmart deli. It'll run you a whopping $4.50, but it's worth every penny for the phenomenal flatulence you'll experience the rest of the night. Another plus is that you can go through the self-checkout and save on tipping waitstaff.
It's fast AND furious!
