Its Now Obvious

Given the Tport and NIL, the era for promoting from within and having time to develope a coordinator and coach has passed. Coaches have to develope and win on someone else’s time and dime with the idea of being hired by an Alabama, UGA, or a Clemson. No more “take a young talent that shows promise and put him in a position.” Doing that puts us in a perpetual state of “we are getting better every week” and we are never able to take advantage of the circumstances given. I do think we drop a couple games this year unfortunately, but next year Streeter and Wes recognize we have a predictable offense with defenders jumping routes and covering us and our defense getting used to not being in total fear of Coach Venables coming onto the field to personally pull them out when he saw them loafing and tighten up their programs just to have injuries or something else ruin our chances then. Its time for Dabo to pull the best OC in the game today into Clemson. Make them an offer they cant refuse. Pull the best DC into Clemson. He did it way back when he first started with our OC/DC and then started the protege and grow from within policy that maintained continuity but it just didnt work in the long run. We are making things harder than they have to be. A Furman, LaTech, and GaTech should not even be able to compete with us under any circumstances whatsoever, yet we keep explaining it away. It isnt too hard to see that Saban and even Smart have the formula and neither of them are the brightest individuals around, they just figured it out and moved on. The clemson of old is gone, and we can still talk “family” etc. and bring the top guys in and I hope we do before we are looking at year 4-5 of not winning the ACC or making the finals. Go Tigers! You deserve our best!

All I know or care about is we won 41-10, 35-12 and 48-20 and are 3-0. What is better than 3-0?

What excuse will you have when we aren’t undefeated?

I will give an honest opinion if the team loses a game. Based on what I have seen so far, this team will go 12-0. The Tiger D has got to tighten up though. The offense is scoring enough points to win.

Right there with you Tigergirl. That won’t change for me unless we do actually lose one.

I would be ok if Streets actually changed something, but this offensive scheme is no different than Tonys. It was stale then and is stale now. Someone posted last night for us to go coach the offense. My response was yes I could coach WRs to run a fade or a fly on every play and throw up a 50\50 ball.
I was looking forward to the read routes he was talking about, but I have not seen them getting WRs open. I did love the fake screen call though. I need to see more schemes that confuse defenses and gets people open. Our scheme scares no one and is easy to prepare for. Preparing for the talent and the players is a different story.
We have been better, but I am ready to see how we do against the power 5. We have to get more consistent play from the online and WRs.

Give me some credit. I could coach the Pee Wee team. Just would like to see some more imagination in our passing scheme. I thought we would see some more open receivers with more read routes but it seems that we are having to rely on DJ to drop dimes. To his credit, he did just that last night.

Streeter is not the answer. The glaring problem nobody talks about is Clemson just isn’t as talented at WR any longer. I don’t know why WRU is still being talked about but they don’t have that anymore. I have enjoyed the last 10 years but this program is in a different place and probably will be for a while. Those are facts and don’t come with that coot crap

You can't run schemes that you don't have the talent to execute.

I couldn’t quite tell, and you Neff or President Clements? Last I saw they were they only people in position to give Dabo direction. And I think both of gem are smart enough to let the man do his job. Obviously you, sir, are not.

Yes. I support all Clemson teams. I might question certain calls by BB a little quicker because I played a lot more basketball than I did football and know a little more about the X’s and O’s on the basketball court but you have never seen me call for his or any other basketball coach’s dismissal or question his overall program management. No hypocrisy here sir.

Agree that without unprecedented rapid progress, we will lose multiple ACC games.
