An Eight Team Playoff It Is Then!

Momentum shift finally ... Winners of the following Conferences Automatically go...

ACC
B-E
B-10
B-12
P-12
SEC

+ 2 wild cards, ideally these 2 wildcards would come from C-USA or the other Conferences, but in reality they would probably come from one of the conferences with the automatic playoff spot ...

After a year or two of this, everyone will see the wisdom of going to a 16 team playoff, with each conference putting forth a Champion to represent thier conference. 5 at large teams to round out the tournamnet will be chosen from the 11 Conferences

It probably will be needed to drop a cupocake game in the regular season, but that is ok

Bowls would go the way of the Leather Helmet, except the Playoff games may be named after a Bowl, out of respect.

deserve to put forth a Champion just as much as anybody else... why does everybody ASSUME that the "holy 4" are so superior... because the guy on ESPN says so? Play them and find out.

This is assuming ND has 6 or more wins, if not then it would be

for the +1 model. 4v1 & 3v2 then one more game and be done.

Conference alignment is not going to drive that ship. The Big 12/SEC game is there just in case each league's champion is outside the top 4 - very unlikely most years.
