It's how you finish - and these ladies are finishing STRONG!

Remember back after Clearwater when some on here were calling for Rittman to be let go? HA!

I don't know what his game was, or intention was or any of that at the time, but this is obviously a pretty young team who lost a lot of leadership last year. But they've really matured in pretty much every way and are playing their best ball when it counts the most.

Really looking forward to see how we can do against the big dogs of the ACC and then in the NCAAs. I don't know if we have what it takes to compete with FSU and Dook, but I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do.

My wife and I will be at the BC game Sat'dee, with my in-laws in tow, and I'm really looking forward to seeing a great game!

Go Tigers!!!

To replace. So given that, you knew there would be some challenges.

I will gladly admit that I was completely wrong about this team. I thought they would struggle greatly this year with so many freshmen in key spots. They have developed into a very dangerous team so you have to give the coaching staff the credit they deserve. I couldn’t be happier that I was so wrong about this team. Finish strong & they could be in place to host a regional. I would have never thought that at the beginning of the year. Shows you how little I know & thank goodness.

I went to Clearwater and I left there feeling this team would struggle (be a fringe tourney team) this year due to the pitching depth and youth. With that said, Basinger has had a solid year. McCubbin pitched fantastic last night and has the potential to shut teams down. If those two keep pitching well we can play with the big teams. The biggest surprise I have is the development of the freshmen. It’s tough to stay in the lineup if you are in that 7/8 spot in the lineup because we have kids who are competing to get on the field. The vibe of this team is way better than last year and they are fun to watch. Also, I think the staff has adjusted to playing a little more small ball. Lastly, kudos to Moore, Vierra and Brown who have all had great senior seasons. Hope the whole team can stay hot throughout the rest of the season.
