Guys, need some opinions on a new business venture.

I would like to open a women’s coat shop somewhere in the upstate. I want to sell really heavy coats, the kind you need to get through a New England winter. Also I think my target market will be women from the lowcountry. It seems like they might need coats but don’t feel comfortable buying them locally or online. I would have a personal shopper who gives them a glass of wine and then let’s them try on all kinds of super heavy coats.
My projections show year one target sales of $3.2M. Do you guys think that’s being too conservative?

If you give them a little lesson on how coats work you could call it "Primer and Two Coats." That would encourage them to buy more as well, doubling your projected take.

Your proposed venture just proves what a wonderful country we live in. To think that a Nigerian man could come to America and sell winter coats in the South for women to use in New England and potentially make a 7 figure profit the first year, should inspire us all to be more aspirational.
