So what we learn about Clemson Basketball from 3 games...

Aug 12, 2022, 9:16 AM

In France Trip...?

1- I'd say these freshman including Beadle are more athletic than most of the older Tigers which is a good need going forward.

2- Guys shot the ball well for the most part especially Hemenway.

3- most overall size they have had in awhile even without PJ Hall. 5 guys 6-7 or taller got plenty of minutes.

4- very young team played in the 3 games especially since Chase Hunter and Galloway missed some time with nagging injuries. Going to need to get those guys healthy soon, and PJ Hall to have any potential long term success this season.

Honestly nothing…
Other than the squads they played are bad defensively…

I do hope they enjoyed the trip though ….
These are more perks that one hopes could pay recruiting benefits….than actual competitive games…

Shouldnt PJ be back by league play at the worst?

Yes. Possibly by the start of the season.***

Nothing is right. They could have saved tons of money, stayed home and when allowed by the NCAA, just had 3 scrimmages against some D111 team somewhere. On the bright side, the guys did get to see one of the greatest cities in the world, Paris.

The score against Paris All-Stars was comparable to Oklahoma’s. If the transitive property applies then we’re about equal to another non-tournament team from last year.

which is nothing. Maybe we see some fundamentals but honestly it's just an exhibition game against VERY light competition.

Too bad the teams we played in France are not in the ACC.

Champions of France. Go Tigers!

Also, they practiced and played 3 games together as a team rather than being scattered about playing summer league games by themselves.

If you didn't learn anything from these games against sub-par competition, then you don't have a brain.

- good to see hunter Tyson dominating. I expect him to take another step this year as he has done every year as a tiger

- Josh Beadle looks to be the best freshman scorer. Let's hope he can play some PG too. He shot a good percentage from 3 as well.

- looks like RJ Godfrey and Dillon hunter are ahead of the other 2 true freshman.

- I wonder why brevin Galloway barely played? Is he hurt? Did they not want to risk playing him considering this is his 7th year and he has injury history?

Not real sure how anyone can say you learned anything from these exhibitions. I look at it as an opportunity for the kids to get out of the country and enjoy themselves nothing more.

that when Clemson BB wins you fake like you are happy. When they lose you are all points of killing the coach you know the same way Trump wanted to kill Pence? That's what was learned, no already knew that so I don't know what did we learn?

What always sticks out to me about these international games is how well guys like Hemingway shoot the ball vs how they shoot during the regular season. The windows to get clean shots off are just so much smaller. I hope it translates similarly to the regular season, but I wouldn’t depend on it.

The young guys looked really good, should be a fun team.

It was a good feeling seeing our President take the time to do that with the player graduating.
