Heavy use of sugar causes health problems too. Heavy alcohol use leads to liver, brain, and heart disease. Pretty much heavy use of anything can cause health issues. Maybe we should ban those products as well.

Like I said above. Heavy use of most anything can be bad.
I'm not saying you are in this category, but I believe some people had (still have) such an aversion to Marijuana, that that aversion may have helped cause an opioid epidemic in this country.

That's what I'm talking about. It's a pretty well known fact that Marijuana helps pain, and is not highly addictive. Yet, in some states, a substance that is akin to heroin is legal to prescribe and Marijuana is not.

I can personally attest to this. My cousin had his bipolar schizophrenia triggered as soon as he started smoking weed. He was perfectly normal, and within a few months was totally gone. He's on medication now and living a relatively normal life, but he still has it and deals with it everyday. The weed 100% was the cause. We knew it before this article. Even he says it was the cause.
