Why would we hire a chicken, coot, #### to coach basketball?

Does anyone else think this is a good hire? Of all the places we could hire a coach, we ###### up a coot in basketball when we have been struggling to win in the ACC enough to to make the NIT or the NCAA tournament.

Does anyone have any good news that we may not know about this move?

Hopefully we used disinfectant before bringing him in to Clemson…lol

Ops isn’t a coach. He’s like the team admin. Books flight, hotels, organizes practice facilities; that kinda thing. Heck if he could keep up with that drama queen Frank Martin he’s gonna breeze through taking care of Brownell.

Yea maybe he has always been a closet Tiger all along. Looking at the Scott’s love for Clemson hard to imagine he was once the head coach at SC. Glad we elevated his career after being let go from that JUCO.

Guess you did not look at his resume. He graduated from Cincinnati (bachelor and masters). Then he worked at UCinn before he moved to a staff job for a number of successful years at K State. He worked at UofSC as a job, not as a misguided fan. Since the vast majority of coaches, staff, professors and administrators attended other schools it’s important to remember that we want to hire the people who are good at their jobs…even if it means hiring someone who worked at a school we despise
