We won 29-7 & it wasn't that close. From Steven Jackson blowing up the return man for a fumble on the opening kickoff, we kicked their butts up and down the field (and not just during the fight).

Things similar to this were being said when we, fairly convincingly, handled FSU last week. The fact FSU had opened the year beating Bama apparently "didn’t count", and FSU just sucks and was "lucky" to dominate Bama in week 1. In reality, parity is at an unprecedented level across all of college football now. Does that mean most of the top 25 isn’t legitimate now? Or can teams largely beat most other teams in any given week if we aren’t talking about maybe Ohio State (and they still have to deal with Michigan in their regular season). Parity is the name of the game in the sport.

So to me, a win isn't a win . .when you have something to prove because of poor play all year. So having a game given to us, doesn't change anything. It is still a Very inept team, horrible.

fans, with the snarky comments, when they are out of excuses for their pisss poor season. Of course, I realize that's a 100+ year habit for those poor souls.
Then, there are the younger Clemson folks among us, who remind me of myself many years ago, when I went into rabid rage over a loss. Back then, compassionate and reasonable thinking weren't part of my modus operandi...it was tar and feather anyone and everyone associated with our program right on up to our President! I thinking Thank God TNet didn't exist in those days, as our good friends hereon would have sent me on permanent vacation to the Netherworld!
Now, after 61 seasons of Clemson football, age has settled me down a little, although I still find myself standing, yelling and swearing to the Stratosphere like a dammmm fool during ballgames whether in DV, in a bar or at home....at the age of 78+ of all things. Sooooooooo, I understand the passion of our fans, especially the younger and allow for it, the major difference being that not once...never...have I said I wished we lost a game in any sport. That's just never going to be part of my loyalty to my Alma Mater.

Everyone’s happy we won, but let’s be real, the frustration isn’t about this game. It’s the season as a whole. We started at No. 4 and now we’re clawing just to make a bowl. That’s why people aren’t throwing confetti. A win is a win, but the standard is higher than this.

some of y'all don't seem to understand there is a systemic problem with this team/staff and its not about being "unhappy" with a win. Its realizing L'ville found a way to lose it rather than Clemson finding a way to win it. That Defense was atrocious as it's been all year except for some good flashes occasionally. The Cards "ain't" no top 20 team. They got a bunch of street creds for beating Miami that has revealed its true identity. FSU may be a puzzle but it's not a good team. Had they not dropped a pass on 4th and one, plus a string of other self inflicted wounds, that game is much different. I'll be happy when Clemson earns victories vs average teams without it being gifted to them.

And some of "y'all" don't seem to understand that most of us DO get the point that this season is disappointing, and we want to see things change. But not ALL of us need to constantly b)#*^ and moan about it, which does exactly zero to solve whatever problems are perceived with the program. Some of us are just tired of the constant negativity of so called fans. We've seen better days, and we've seen worse, we don't need to run to the boards to cry and have our feelings massaged by like minded individuals. No one is asking you to be happy after a win. Thats up to you. If you want to be miserable, go for it, but stop acting like people calling out others for finding the dark cloud behind every silver lining is harming you. Clemson won last night. Be happy, or don't, we don't need to have updates from every fan on their feefees.

The thing about this and the FSU game is they are validation for status quo even though they shouldn't be. Nothing significant will happen in the off season now. Six more 20 million dollar years of this. Being happy for a win has nothing to do with hoping we can change and improve going forward.

It only took 50 penalties against Louisville at critical points in the game for it to happen but yes, we won
