Or you could just enjoy life watching athletes that had zero to do with the opening. I enjoyed every chance I could watch! You missed out on some amazing stuff!

We watched a lot of the Olympics but skipped the opening ceremony as it is typically awful/boring. Loved the coverage on Peacock as you could choose the event you wanted to watch or watch four events on a split screen

I wasn't interested in it before the opening ceremonies. I have always felt, maybe incorrectly, that the Olympics was more geared for women and kids.

We watched every night. I asked my husband what we are going to watch now since the Olympics are over. We automatically turned them on every night. The USA performed very well. I refuse to let controversial stuff like that affect what I do. To me it wasn’t a big deal at all. It just looked like a big group of drag queens hanging out.

The vitriol displayed by the “I want you to know how NOT outraged I am” crowd toward someone who expressed a different perspective is rather telling. The name-calling, scorn, and virtue signaling is amusing in light of the tolerance you profess to have.
I thought the opening ceremonies didn’t need to try so hard for controversy, but I still watched every day.
