I honestly don't feel like this team earned the right to wear orange pants. This is NOT a championship. The fact that there is a "trophy" is just weird. Its not a game that ANYONE thinks of that way, its just not. And I mean this with no ill intention, but it felt more like we are throwing in the towel on the season and just wanting to pass out a participation trophy than actually have this team earn the right to wear those orange britches. Its not a bad thing for Dabo to be strong on this, make the team earn it. I hate this feel. It feels like he is just accepting that this is a bad team and he is bringing them out to get icecream anyways. Just... I don't know... It just feels off and not what a lot of folks think of when we wear those pants. The only game we should be wearing those in should be vs SC for the state championship, and even then...

I really can’t get worked up about uniform color combos. The all purple is my favorite as it’s worn on Veterans Day. The team is playing better against weaker teams now. I see the uniform choice as a motivation tool. The players attend and work for Clemson, so they earned the right to wear Clemson colors.

That trophy doesn't really mean crap. It's a made up rivalry. SC is our rival. Clemson-BC doesn't mean a thing around the state or country. We aren't even playing BC every year anymore. Will be a thing of the past in about 5 years when we are out of the ACC.

I will add this. The purple and white stripes match the helmets and look great. I wish we still had the purple stripes on the white pants like the helmet. Didn't like the change to the "Bama-esque look" double orange stripes. (In Bama's case double crimson stripes)

1. I noticed the orange pants too and I agree this “game” has a made up trophy…I don’t care…either way…
2. Dabo made our policy this way so I guess he can change it on his whim but I think I lessens his credibility when he does…
3. Always have liked the orange pants, like the all orange combo too…really like the purple combo for veterans… didn’t really like bringing out the purple earlier for who..Syracuse or unc…?? But it’s Dabos call so…
