The most effective way to fight idiocy is not being self righteous, it's to mock the behavior.
That's what I took the couple with the fruit turnover chain to be doing.

The only one that I like is Miami’s turnover chain, because it just fits the persona of the program so well. The rest are pretty stupid.

It really is amazing that Miami continues to have that image.

Miami is a top notch private university. They bought into that style in the 80s when it was novel and effective. But it is in my opinion antithetical to the ideals of higher education. I’m surprised their administration didn’t clamp down on that.
