Inspired by the concept of God.

I find it deeply ironic that the very passage that says all scripture is god-breathed is pseudepigraphic, aka a forgery.

Good listen.

I’ve brought up the passage from Timothy many times when discussing this and pointed out that it was a reference to the Old Testament.

I didn’t realize the OT wasn’t even canonized until later though. What was the writer of Timothy referring to then?

In my opinion, no.

First, you'd have to specify which Bible (scripture) and which version and translation you are talking about, so that we are talking about the same thing when we say "scripture".

Generally, I think what most of us call The Bible is a collection of different genres and kinds of writings that were selected and put together by men for various reasons and with varying intentions. I think it contains some beautiful messages and timeless wisdom and spiritual truths, but since it is the work of men, it also contains errors, biases, and opinions, some of which is undoubtedly inspired by God, while much of it is not. I believe it should be read and understood from that perspective.

I agree with most of that except this line:

>some of which is undoubtedly inspired by God

I'm curious if you have an example and how you can distinguish the text that is and isn't inspired.

It is my personal belief based on the totality of my experience.

I have no way to definitively distinguish that which is inspired and that which is not; certainly not in a way that would convince others. For example, I don't think that errors and mistakes and contradictions are inspired by a perfect and all-powerful God. I don't think things that don't make sense are inspired by a perfect and all-powerful God. I don't think stories about an angry, vengeful God are inspired by a perfect and all-powerful God. Yet I know some people who insist otherwise.
