OBS said that some schools suspend players for games that don't mean anything when they get busted for marijuana. (Referring to if SW gets to play against Auburn and misses Ball St.) He then had the old balls to say that the coots don't do it that way. I suppose he is right, they just look the other way and don't suspend at all. It is Columbia afterall, I guess they are thinking at least it's not crack.

Yes, twice. Well technically once. The other time he was officially "charged" by the campus cops pulled a fire alarm and set off a fire extinguisher. But he'd boozing before the incident.

Garcia and USuC's handling of him from beginning to end is a joke - a national joke. The only people that buy into SOS's comments about team and discipline are coots and those who cater to them.

Did he say Clemson specifically? The SEC UF (under Meyer) in particular have dodged suspending players for pot or selectively suspended them. It's the SEC he could be talking about a lot of schools.

Urban Meyer did a bit of that at Florida and a game winning field goal was blocked against Spurrier by a player who was later suspended for pot. UF went on to win the NC that year.
Here is the link to the video of Spurrier's comments if anyone is interested. Could be talking about Watkins, but he makes reference to "appeal" which is not the case with Watkins but is the card played by some schools like UF and UGA I believe.

i watched the video, and in typical Spurrier fashion, he attempted to knock out as many birds with one stone as he could. marijuana is a common offense among athletes so there are many past instances like UGA, UF, TENN and FSU that are easily assumed here, but he knows Dabo has to face the Watkins matter and it was a great time to set up a win-lose scenerio with Dabo...
this is spurrier's MO, throw the stone and hide his hand (in veiled assumption)...

You lose your only legitimate WR threat in Jeffery. You lose 2 first round draft picks. You've lost your DC and a number of other assitant and position coaches. You are not facing the weak east from the past few years as UGA and UF and even UT to a point are once again rising. You have to go to LSU and play Mizzu next year.
And you have to come to the Valley.
Good luck, and yes we will be better next year. Why? Becuase you won't have Steele's defense to embaress.
