Bought COINBASE (COIN) about a two weeks ago at $70. It

immediately fell back to $52. Sputtered along...up and down...decided I better dump late yesterday at $69 so I could buy back when it hit the $50's again.
It has hit $82 today.
The market can be a H* !

And sold it for 315. lol Im honestly not even sure that company survives long term. Whats the purpose of it? I think the current share price represents those questions.

, it all about perception of value. Tulip seeds and beenie babies were once considered solid investments.
But at least all the above had a finite supply. Fiat currency is so scary that Crypto becomes appealing even to dolts like me who can't figure out how it converts into substantial products.

And the high potential reward. That said, IMO speculative investors can help themselves and their odds by sticking with the top blue chip crypto assets incl. BTC, ETH, Cardano ADA, DOT, AVAX, LINK and a handful more. But The Mole® nails it in terms of the volatility and the pain - very speculative and not for most.

I wouldn’t invest a dollar in bitcoins. There is nothing of economic value backing it like there is with stocke. It is just pure gambling. Admitted there is a degree of gamble in stocks, but lots less risk if you do an index. Fund.

I think cryptocurrency is one reason the stock market has gone down. People have taken a lot of money out of the market and lost/ holding it in cryptocurrency.
