I'm confused too. If Wake loses we would each have two losses in ACC play. Wake would have the head to head win over NC State, NC state would have the head to head win over us and we would have the head to head win over Wake. Why does Wake win the tie breaker? I know there's something simple I'm overlooking, but I don't see it right now.

I think I found the answer to my question. It looks like it came down to the win-percentage against non-divisional opponents. We lost to Pitt. NC State lost to Miami. Wake beat Duke. Kind of a BS tie breaker but it is what it is and, yeah, sucks that we needed to back door our way in anyway.
Oh, well, let's go Tigers. We have fried chicken on the menu tonight.

Actually it's the division record that serves as this next tie-breaker. In a 3-way where we all lost to each other Wake would be eliminated first with 2 division losses to NC State's and our 1 loss, then it would revert to NC State's HTH win over us to settle that 2-way. So Go Deacs!

Why would you watch Wake-BC when the Ohio State-Michigan game that potentially determines a Playoff spot is on? Noon games Wake-BC, Ohio State-Michigan, FSU-Florida, UGA-Tech are why God created remote controls.

I just don't want NC State anywhere near the ACCCG. I believe they are one of just 3 ACC teams to never play in the ACCCG and the other two (Louisville and Cuse) have only been in the conference for a decade or less. Even ND has played in the ACCCG and they were only eligible for 1 season.
