Than Tennessee? Decent season. Beat Bama like an ole miss team a few years back but don't have any future in all honesty. They likely will never see the success we have recently had and still act like they're in the same stratosphere as us. Blows my mind.

Their season was much better than decent. They won 11 games, beat two of their rivals and had a big bowl game win. The only negative was the inexplicable blowout loss to SC. If that game doesn't get away from them they are in the playoffs.

Cool. We also won 11 games and a conference title. My point was about not reaching anywhere near what we have done and still acting like their program is currently superior. Unless you're one of the many who discredits our dominant run since 2015 they will never reach. Comical

If Tennessee fans are talking trash to Clemson, it's probably not because they are trying to diminsh anything Clemson has done in the past. It's because they beat you - with their backup QB. With wins come bragging rights.

The same backup QB that many are heralding the best in the nation against a true freshman. Interesting. Not saying they weren't better on the given day, although the way we easily moved the ball and missed 5 field goals should matter.

No deflecting. I commented on your asinine assertion that TN's season was merely decent. I did you a favor by not pointing out how ridiculous it is to suggest TN "don't have any future" or will "never see" the success Clemson has had. You can't possible know any of that. And as far as saying "decent" that's because we have much higher standards for "good". A good year for Clemson is 2017 or so finishing #1 regular season and losing to an Alabama team that... Beat you. Great is title or bust. Which, I say again, I don't see Tennessee doing.
As far as you saying I can't possibly know that, correct. But if you were to bet on Tennessee winning a national title in the next 20 years, I would surely take that bet with no stress. Sometimes you just know college football and can gauge programs. Maybe better than you can?

One more thing, since you insist on being such a d bag, I did not say "don't have any future" as you tried to make me look dumb. I said they are not likely to. If you want to quote me, at least use actual quotes.
And yes, in this message board and fan base... If you don't make the playoffs it's nothing more than a "decent" year. You would know if you had more than 2 years of continuous playoff appearances.

Umm... Clemson won 11 games in a much, much easier conference. I am sorry, but you can't compare our 11 wins to Tennessee's in the SEC. If Tennessee had of played our schedule, they likely would have been undefeated.

Tennessee actually can be a little cocky. They have a very good athletic program. The only thing that they haven't completed yet is football. They got
Good bball program
Good baseball
Good women bball
Good softball
Good men and women golf
Good volleyball team
But compared to us, most sec teams are more competitive than us in athletics. Money can do that for you.

He played basketball and baseball for the Vol back in the early 1950's so, over the years, I have been to more games up there than I can count. Based on my own direct first hand experiences, UT fans are among the most mouthy, deluded, and ignorant in existence. A very close third behind the Capons and Nancy State.
