4 transfers does not equal 4 assets. Clemson got 1 asset, and 1 "wish on a shooting star" asset. 2 are total trash and just practice players, since Brad has a hard time keeping young men around his ahole style, which has been documented by several players and 1 coach.

Yep, he will be hard to get rid now. With what we had left after graduation and the portal transfers, Brownell seems to have added some pretty strong talent that no doubt if he will learn to coach in game, he should land in the ACC tournament next season without getting robbed!!!!

IMO, I say yes if the group that makes those decisions don't rob our BB team again at season end, and yes, I believe that last years team was robbed of the ACC tournament!!!

Say what you will or whatever makes you feel better, but, my opinion is that last years team was good enough to play in the ACC tournament, and those guys was so let down after getting screwed over, that the Nothing Invitational Tournament (NIT) was a joke offering to them, and they didn't give a crap about playing in it.

So sad that Brownell can't recruit and retain his own players, so he has to rent 4 players. 3 of the 4 are lousy. I see homer fans getting all excited about some skinny center that will probably score 3 points a game, in the 14 games he appears in. Neff/Brownell have succeeded in lowering fan expectations, so they get excited about a NIT big every 2 or 3 years. When I was in school, we went to NCAAs and won the ACC. I'll never lower my standards to the point where Furman is a better team than Clemson. Hats off to the people and Clemson staff that are just fine with that. Maybe we can beat The Citadel this season, wooooohoooo!

Hiedbreder is absolutely not lousy. 15.1 a game in the mountain west conference isn’t lousy at all. The mountain west was one of the best conferences in the country last year. Also Jack Clark will provide quality minutes and Bas was brought in with the sole purpose of backing up PJ hall. He doesn’t need to be a superstar. He knew going in he was a backup and he was fine with that

Hopefully these transfers inspire competition that make the whole team better. On the flip side, I hope it doesn't discourage some of the underclassmen and we end next season with a mass exodus of graduations and younger players transferring out for lack of playing time.
But I suppose at the end of the day, this is the new normal. The 1 & Done and the transfer portal pushes most coaches hand to make these kind of moves- at times at the expense of younger players development.
Girard was a great get. All four transfers are great pieces. Staff did a solid job.

In basketball, you gotta play for the season that is upon you, not 2-3 seasons from now.
You can build a baseball team over a few recruiting cycles. Football too, if your fan base and athletic director and boosters are patient.
You gotta win now in basketball, even if next year sucks, doubly so if you are a coach with your job on the line.
