Interpretation of Dabo's comments on portal

Dec 22, 2022, 7:43 AM

We reached out to some that wanted $$$. Some came to us wanting $$$. We aren't going to take players where that is the major factor. And some just weren't better than what we have.

And, that's exactly how Jesus handles the heaven transfer portal. :)

Just kidding... I have no problem with what Dabo said.

You're right in that Jesus wasn't much for money or influenced by people with money. In fact, Jesus was able to change the world forever without having any money or anyone backing him with money. Just something to ponder, considering the priority we all place on having money these days.

Jesus spoke on money and riches more than anyone

warned of its power to distract us from what really matters, which is why He left the riches of heaven for the poverty of this earth

Many have stated on this site that the portal will not play a big role for Clemson under Dabo but the crowd who think the portal is an actual place freaked out. They cant seem to understand that Dabo made us elite by following his values so their desire to make us like every other program does not seem logical.

When you remove the guys wanting an upfront payday, the guys requiring immediate playing time, the guys who do not have the demonstrated talent to help us and the guys who are not aligned with our culture then the pool gets very shallow very quickly.
