Interpretation of Coot Mantras 101...

Oct 20, 2012, 7:38 PM

After being surrounded by Coot fans (family mostly, unfortunate, I know), I have heard and decided to list some of their common mantras, especially on days when all is right in the world...The days when we win, and they lose. :)

About Clemson

1. "Well, ya'll just got lucky." (Well, I secretly know you won by a landslide but I'm going to try to lessen it so I feel better about myself).

2. But ya'll just played another ACC team! (Once again, I am fully aware of the fact you won and we lost, so I am going to try to avoid the topic because I do not want to endure the pain of a loss).

About Themselves

1. "SEC! SEC! SEC!" (I know my football team is inferior, so I am going to point out the conference I am apart of. That way, the big boys like LSU and Alabama can kind of make me look better. Sort of. But not really).

2. "There's always next year." (I know that we have once again, screwed up rather largely. So all I can do is look to the future...or a bottle of Jack. Jack is looking more promising).

3. "I have always and will always be a Gamecock." (There are options for this one...1. I have always been a Gamecock fan...since last season. or 2. I am a second class person who only wishes I could be as good as my big brother.)

As always, GO TIGERS! And if you have anymore to add, feel free to do so :)
