Seth Beer

Ran into a scout I know here at the game, and we were talking about Seth Beer. He says the issue he sees is that Beer isn't making an adjustment on how teams are pitching him. Seth likes to be closer to the plate, but last year teams started pitching him inside because they knew even if he made contact it would be foul. The trend has continued this season, and the scout said he's heard people around here have to tried to convince him to back off the plate, hit three or four into the Cajun Cafe and change things but he won't do it. So you'll see teams continue to pound him inside. Just wanted to pass along what I have heard

that Beer needed to back up away from the plate.

Thanks for the update David. That is probably the reason he has been HBP so many times. Everybody is constantly sending his pitches to low inside. If he gets it figured out he will be lights out!!!!

Nope he's not. But the pro Hood was talking to is. It really hard for people on here to take even constructive criticism about our players. Sometimes players the caliber of Beer need to be humbled. Sometimes it never happens and they never reach their full potential. Beer seems to a humble kid, but I'd want my average higher to improve my earning potential at the next level if I were him.

So the scout is right when he says beer is struggling, but when badb says it he's just an idiot? Gotcha?. Lil Derp is the gift that keeps on giving.

The scout is right when he says that Beer is struggling. Regarding badb, you said it best - he is an idiot.

PLEASE inform me where i said badb is an idiot. it would really take an idiot to not see that seth is struggling with his swing. yet his on base % is still off the chain. hopefully he will get the swing part figured out. but he!! if he does teams will just start walking him every time he comes up. what gets me is how badb and his 2 other mouseketeers analyze every swing and every pitch and every move the coach makes. every team goes through spells where they scuffle a little bit. hopefully those times dont last long. last year lewisville was the best thing going and what did they end up winning. the 1927 yankees lost 40 something games. now if we were playing like the coots there would be plenty to worry about. remember, they had the best pitching staff on the planet.

My question is
May 8, 2017, 2:01 PM
|
|
What's his rationale? I'm sure he's smart enough to realize it's not working like he'd want...... from a lroduction standpoint. What's keeping him there?

His batting stance has prolly been the same since pony league and it's hard to learn to bat a different way. The pitching is just getting better and they know what he can't hit.

It's hilarious that when David hood confirms that beer is struggling, everyone accepts it. But when other people say it they are just bad mouthing him and don't know what they're talking about.
So I guess sports know it all NFLU thinks Hood is a moron who's never played a sport before. According to him beer smokes the ball literally every time he comes up. Amazing he could he struggling then.

No doubt. They almost hit him every at bat,

and often do.
I'd love to see him get things straightened out...especially by this weekend.
Thanks for the info.
Anybody who goes to the games knows what the pitchers are doing, but most of us don't know the behind the scenes dialogue.

Is stubborn or complacent. Whatever, when we don't read on TN that he's jacked one out of the park then I know Clemson Basdball is struggling.
