9 SEC opponents. One thinks they should replace us with a small school and another thinks they should just concede the rivalry. LOL.
The best thing they can hope for now is for us to join the SEC and it becomes one of their conference games so they can at least schedule another gimme non con win.

Or, one could hope they go 11-1 (losing to Clemson). Lose the SEC championship to Oklahoma then Shane leaves for LSU to replace a fired Brian Kelly who started a 6-6 season by losing to Clemson 42-10.

As much as I would love for that to happen, I just don't see them falling that bad. I do however see them landing about where they did last year minus one game. I think they go 8-4. They're offense will be improved but their defense is definitely going to take a hit. They lost too much talent and they aren't Nick Sabans Bama, UGA, or OSU where they just reload because they recruit top 5 every year. They're going to get scored on this year.
Their fans delusion is they think they're National Tital contenders. I mean they are smoking. We can all agree Lamar Jackson was a beast and a possibly the GOAT of running QB's. They went 9-3 and 8-4. Why? Because they didn't have the talent around him. You have to have elite telnet at multiple positions to have a NC run. Sellers and Stewart can't do it alone. I'll also say this about Stewart. He's an elite pass rushing end but you can run the ball at him.

Nope. They are really talking about the 28 ream playoff model within 5 years. Tbats 7 SEC, 7BIG, 5 ACC, 5 BIG12. At that point we are in99.9% of the time. It won't matter how we do in non-con games. I would take that deal right now. Non of those conferences have ever had that number of national championship contenders in a single season, but take that deal and run!!!
