… that was as great an atmosphere as we’ve ever had in the place.

We sold all seats for $10 and on a first come first served basis. No assigned seats.

The crowd got there early, the place was packed, and the environment was electric!

We won 74-70. That was a great night for Clemson hoops.

If all of our home games were like that we’d be a program to be reckoned with.

But, in the grand scheme of things, that night was an aberration.

Yeah, had to leave work in Greenville and head over. Before Syracuse entry into the ACC, so had never seen Clemson play them. You're right--it was a great environment.

actually it was the region final to go to MSG in NY. that was also under OP in just his 4th season who dug Clemson out of the Shyatt mess. TBook, Hammonds, Mays, Perry, Sykes and Hamilton were just building something good.

OP took over a team that was the worst in the ACC and hadn't even been to the NIT in 5 years. Took us to the NIT 3 years in a row, including the 2007 tournament you mentioned where we made it to the final, and then the NCAAT 3 years in a row. Some of y'all like to criticize him for never winning a game in the NCAAT, but just getting us there was a major accomplishment for Clemson basketball considering we'd only been invited 7 times when he was hired.

For the win. I was under basket talking #### about their players hair, ink and mothers. One guy said ####! Tiger player said keep it up. I’ll never forget that night.
