Impressive fact about Clemson recruiting...

Clemson has not had a real decommitment since 2014. Stanford is the only other school that has a similar reputation for commitments staying on board... although they don't currently recruit close to the level of players that we do. It is truly impressive that we are able to not only bring in incredible talent, but when we get a commitment, the recruit sticks with it.



Shaq in 2016 decommitted only to take some free visits. I think Dabo knew he was coming back all along. And Cordarrian in 2017 was due to that crazy academic scandal and was probably more on our side. Also... thank goodness for that academic scandal otherwise we wouldn't have gotten ETN.

Clemson did so because they changed their minds. Many have their offers rescinded by our HC. As time goes along in the courting sessions our coaches discover that the boys are not what they presented themselves to be. The deception alone raises issues.

I think the biggest reason we have fewer decommitment is due to our selection process being refined from our coaching staff maturing.

As far as anyone changing their minds, fine with me if they don't want a playoff ring.

Absolutely crazy to think we wouldn't have gotten ETN without something bizarre like Richardson's situation happening. Everything happens for a reason I suppose

Maybe this means whoever gets the scholarship which would have gone to Zion will become a four year starter and All ACC standout player for us.
