"SEC pulls Robinson from Clemson"

That's the headline on Rivals.com. EL- OH- freaking EL. Are they not even recognizing individual teams over there anymore? Robinson was totally fine coming to Clemson for months, and switched to Florida because of Joker Phillips. It had nothing to do with the conference.

Apparently he doesn't know Joker used to be at Kentucky. May want to check his stellar track record there. what a joke

you can't blame them for using that headline. it came directly from Robinson's mouth....

interest in the sport. I don't even watch the pundit shows and we are 10-2, ranked #14 in the country. I do pull for all sec teams to get beat by non-sec teams and many of them lose often:
Arkansas,Auburn,Kentucky,Ole Miss, Miss State, Missouri, Tennessee, Vandy. That's eight bad teams right there and South Carolina will rejoin that crowd when Spurrier leaves.
Atlanta media blew a good opportunity. They had two major conferences at a crossroad at their city. We know overall the SEC is better, but they don't have to completely trash the ACC every chance they get. In doing so for going on since the 2003 expansion, they lost a lot of fans in the Atlanta area. Most ACC alums that live in Atlanta never even tune into those shows. Most stopped about three or four years ago. Instead of having a much larger viewership and promoting a rivalry between two BCS conferences, they just threw one out to trash and lost many, many viewers.

overall. There is a decent sized Big Ten fan base. Of course, the SEC rules the market. But at least until a few years ago, there were a lot of Midwest/Big12 grads (10 yrs or less) in the market. And the Big 12 market wasn't shabby either. I may look for the article in the morning.......
I can't remember specifically, but it would make sense if the ACC fan base was second behind SEC given that GT is there. But, still, there are plenty of fans to go around.

Are you not aware he hasn't even hardly even spoke to Joker Phillips? He clearly stated, "Florida is in the SEC" and that is the main reason he chose to leave us! He said that the SEC benefits him more than us in the ACC. He's been favoring Florida for a while and they were finally able to use the conference against us and turn the tables. Don't be naive and give Joker Phillips any credit!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Future of football "SEC vs Clemson"

It's the SEC versus whatever your team is
NO VOICE of conference outside the SEC -- NO OTHER media prapogates such unity and power
all because the SEC & ESPN ARE SUCKING each other off.

Well maybe the other conferences should band together and form an anti-trust lawsuit vs the SEC and ESPN for the harm they are doing against them...

It has really hurt my love of college football...just not as fun as it used to be now that EVERY game, news article, highlight show is an SEC circle jerk.

I dont know that the SEC pulls them in as much as playing in the ACC pushes them away. Look at our schedule then look a Uf schedule. What looks more exciting?

That's exacly why Clemson and FSU and any other ACC program needs to win against their out of or SEC rival. We may never be able to overcome the overall perception. But a win this year and every year will help. When your 2 big guns lose convincingly the perception will linger on.

Look at next year's Florida and Clemson schedules.

Florida plays: LSU Georgia FSU South Carolina Miami UT Arky Vandy Missouri Kentucky Georgia Southern Toledo
I've listed them in descending order or interest (my opinion, only).
Now ours: Georgia South Carolina FSU GT NCSU Maryland UVA (or Syracuse?) Wake BC Duke (or Syracuse?) The Citadel SC State
Is their schedule really so much better than ours?
