I might be just really really stupid....

But I see us blowing Louisville out if we show up focused and play smart. I just do. Only a 3 point favorite seems silly low to me but maybe I'm just really dumb. I've been wrong before...
My gut is telling me they get blown out if we play well. Now, if we turn the ball over then sure.. anything can happen. I honestly just don't think Louisville is near as good as Clemson.
Am I just really dumb? Maybe I am..

against Auburn and went vanilla so I'm still waiting to see if we can prolong drives consistently.

I believe that the Tigers will finally give up a TD in this game. UL is just that good!

Lamar is good, better than last year

But their oline has declined. We were up halftime last year and let stupid turnovers let them sneak back. I don't think balls to the wall offense prevents turnovers; sometimes it adds to them so hopefully they will find a happy medium if we can get a decent lead early.
I think we need to make the run work more to keep the defense off the field. Kelly seems to pickup good yards with designed runs as well; scoring in 1:30 with 5 plays just gives Lamar more chances to get free.

I vote for a T-shirt: balls-to-the-wall offense

I'm just hoping that we don't run between the tackles all day long, since that is the ONLY defense they have that is worth having. Their pass D is non-existent, so I'm hoping we throw a few times. I prefer 75-25 pass-run plan instead of focusing on establishing the run so much.

I think Louisville is a good football team - top 20 for sure.
I think we will be playoff caliber by mid season if we aren't already there.
Louisville can win this game but I will be surprised if they do.

Will we open up Offense? Good Question
Sep 13, 2017, 10:25 PM

And it's not as easy as flipping a switch ... as many on here hope or believe. This game is winnable and Clemson should absolutely be favored based on Clemson D. But even great D will not shut down Lamar Jackson completely, and Offense and Special Teams will make mistakes. It happens. This will be a contest with 80,000 Louisville fans screaming at top of lungs just like Louisville beat-down of FSU last year.
Some on here have very short memories. Clemson wins late last year in Death Valley after not touching Lamar Jackson for most of the 3rd Qtr and 2nd half. Clemson D-Line could not breathe or chase anyone in 2nd half. And that was with D. Watson, Gallman, Leggett, M. Williams, et al.
Go Tigers! And also show just a little bit of rational humility!

There will probably be even more than 80,000 screaming card fans, but only about 50,000 will be in the stadium.

I know we're just fans and all but I really don't like the, "our turnovers are why they had 600 yards" mentality. The main reason they had 600 yards is because Mr. It's Crazy Man made some good plays with his feet and arm. He is almost literally as quick as a cat and scares the beegeezes out of me. I'm not wishing injury on anyone including GWP, but man I wouldn't mind if Lavar tweaked an ankle or something on their first series.
