Why would a top transfer guy not want to play at Alabama? Answer, Clemson does not take transfers.

to me.
1.) If a “bad player” (or non-starter) from a mediocre team enters the transfer portal, how does that player then start for and/or help a really good program? Seems like they would o my be adding depth at best.
2.) If a “bad player” (or non-starter) from a really good team enters the transfer portal, how does that player then start for and/or help a different really good program? If they are a really good team, chances are they’re good for a reason and don’t have a starting spot except maybe through injury. Still, it’s not what Kiffin is making it out to be.
3.) No one who has left Clemson and entered the transfer portal has vastly improved the teams they went to, including Kendrick to UGA.
I guess what I’m saying is the transfer portal is full of “bad players” as you called them. Why would a good team need to go there. Occasionally, sure. Free agency…nah.

and transfer to good teams.
Bad players from good teams want to leave because they ain’t playing.
So teams like Bama, Clemson (if we took transfers), Ohio st, Uga get the good players from the bad teams. So those teams are even worse.
It makes the divide from the haves and have nots greater. Free transfer is dumb. Even Saban agrees.

Joe Burrow and Justin Fields are two excellent examples of transfer players that were solid talent.
(Though Burrow leaving Ohio State and going to LSU isn't exactly leaving a bad school to go to a good program)

What it all boils down to is that we dont utilize the portal like its intended to be used like the other teams use it....To address glaring weaknesses in your team...
OL in particular...
We have way too many noncontributors holding up scholarships that Dabo has to honor for some reason or another...Kids of big donors etc....Look at our roster...Tons of 5'8 white boys that play "WR" or 6'3 260 lb "OL"....All of them are white
