i know some of you guys have got me beat. but i spent a summer delivering waterbeds into southeast DC. not the best of neighborhoods. lotta people who paid $2-3-4000 in cash for a bedroom set to be delivered to some crappy apartment in the hood. felt really bad for a lot of those poor folks.

The steel grates protecting me had numerous inch deep golf ball sized dents.
For some reason I still enjoyed driving about 20 yds from tee box and antagonizing people.

Driver for Day Labor Temp Agency
Aug 1, 2012, 4:11 PM

Place off Spruill Ave in Charleston. Homeless and drugies would walk in off the street hoping to find a few hours work at a construction site holding a traffic sign. I was a Junior at Clemson and needed a job over Christmas break.
They hired me to drive selected workers to the construction sites. Started at 4 in the morning. One guy asked me to drive by his neighborhood on the way so he could "drop something off". When that person wouldn't answer the door (or wasn't home) he asked if I wanted to buy the two rocks he had in his pocket. Said "No", dropped him off at the end of the street, went home, and never returned to the agency. I didn't even bother to get my pay check for that day.
