we've got to hope that Free Shoes and the Coots win all of their remaining games save one or we are as high as we are going to get
Assuming the rest of the top 5 goes undefeated too.

Not just that, but the Bees from Atlanta have a legit possibility to be a top 25 team coming into the valley too. We need them to keep winning, along with the Canes in the ACCCG

at the end of the year. Highly unlikely that we will be undefeated at the end of the year. Yes, I realize that we did it 30 plus years ago, and we can do it again. It is still very hard to do.
Just win and let the chips fall. We have never been this high in the polls this early. In 81, we were unranked in the preseason.

Well, the team does. I'm too old, too slow and too less athletic to play.

Riddle Me This

I don't understand how we get more votes in week 4 separating us from further from OSU when we didn't play and they won (at least somewhat convincingly over a FBS team)?
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy at #3, but I thought for sure we'd be jumped.

Did anyone not watch that basketball game Oregon put on Tenn??
I watched both games. Oregon is better.

Oh, I agree.... but I don't see how they are getting so many #1 votes. To me, they are the shakiest of any team in the top 5. Their Va Tech game, and then TAM game both featured problems.
I have not doubt that Oregon, Clemson, Stanford would beat them.
I agree with you. I can see them losing more than one along the way.
