I'm predicting a 3-4 TD victory

I predicted that last year and got called crazy. I'm calling it again. I don't believe in OU and the Stoops, when together, have been horrible at bowl preparation aside from a couple of outliers, especially when Venables hasn't been in the picture. I believe they will leave the screen open all game and our coaching staff will keep screening until they difure out how to stop it, which will open up Deshaun's running game. I believe we will be able to stop them better than people think. I believe Mayfield gets rattled early and often and folds. He has faced two teams all year who could effectively blitz: Texas and TCU. They lost the Texas game when he started making big mistakes and was knocked out of the TCU game. I just see Venables blitzing Mayfield early and often. Deshaun keeping his cool while Mayfield panics will be the biggest key.

mayfield wasnt knocked out of the tcu game with a successful blitz--he was intentionally targeted by the tcu linebacker on a run. It was an ugly play where the LB intentionally speared a down runner in the head. the LB was immediately ejected (and should have received worse).

After reading all of his whining about everything TCU and making up crap to be able to play the victim, I don't blame TCU. I don't care about him or Oklahoma enough to have paid much attention to this kid and his father's bizarre behavior but I am so sick of it, I hope we place a linebacker "spy" on his whinny A$$ and plant him so much he is digging dirt out of his A$$ and hopefully his mouth for at least a while.

This has been my thought all along. Something no one is mentioning is that when OU played their toughest teams (OK state, Baylor, tcu), they were playing against backup QBs. OU defense was fresh all game. Just run the ball, get first downs and make them actually have to play and they will crumble (ie Texas rushing for 300+). Think we win 31-13.
