I had to have somewhere to live when I get there..and I'm not a big rental fan.
But for the money I'm spending on getting out of one house and getting into another..I could have probably rented for a loooong time.

Re: I don't want to fuss about my job any more this hours so,

When I worked as a field supt for a residential light commercial insulation contractor two of the estimators/salesmen decided to take the half the employees and most of the customers/general contractors and start their own business.
I overheard the conversations several times. They had met with a lawyer over 100 miles away twice to set the paperwork up for the move. They'd retained an ex-company guy who had experience at my position to run the field and made credit arrangements with the suppliers. They also had promised some of the foremen raises to make the move.
One of the estimators was married to the sister of one of our company's owners. I was kinda stuck between ethics and life. I left one Friday evening with a real dilemma, lose my job after the company struck hard times and the owners took over my responsibilities or lose my job for ratting out the owner's B-N-L.
I've found myself in places so tight I couldn't find my penor several times. Stop whining and do your job.

the tiny cost of living increase you receive every year always accompanied by the increase in cost of health insurance. This year the insurance price increase is higher than the cost of living increase. So my raise will essentially mean a pay cut. (With all that said... it could be worse, so I guess I shouldn't complain.)

Obama was elected. Easy I guess to blame him, but the reality is that the issues driving the costs of healthcare are unrelated to the current POTUS and began well before he was seated.

And he had the opportunity to curb some of that
Nov 3, 2015, 11:57 AM

by allowing/encouraging interstate private competition with health insurance, and through medical tort reform (hence lowering malpractice insurance premiums).
Not so oddly, none of that was touched with ARRA or the ACA.
Simply because of those two omissions that would have affected healthcare costs so much, one must realize that other agendas were the real reason of ACA.

No other POTUS has done anything to combat the issue (costs rising at rates that are significantly outpacing inflation) either....so add Regan, Bush I, Clinton, and Bush II to the list.
*With respect to the highest growth areas that ALSO are the areas with the biggest expenditures: Hospital care, physician services, and prescriptions....the costs have been rising like MAD since about 1985.

with the millions that I've been responsible for spending on server/storage/application upgrades, and add in another how many ever million its been who aren't paying for it but now have healthcare, there's no way costs have gone down under Obama.

And I think you are correct.
Sumbuddy else said costs were going up to Obamacare and blamed Obama. That part is false.
The costs have risin like crazy for the past 30 years. They've continued to do so under obammy, but not at a rate any higher than they did under bushbushreaganclinton.
Butt Bammy is an easy target I guess for the price of healthcare, just folk are misguided with where they place the blame.

The job turned out much different from the announcement/ad
Nov 3, 2015, 11:07 AM

The announcement that the recruiters sent to our grad program was all about health policy and politics. The recruiters didn't tell me who they were actually recruiting for until I'd already gone to see them 3 or 4 times and they'd selected me as their candidate to promote. I had another offer that might have required me to move and which might have been for only 1 year, but which would have been with a think tank and provided much more interesting work.

I think it's paramount that we know how many sides before we can properly gauge the validity of your frustration level.

I think she knew I was in no way interested in anything but her bits a bikini covers. She ended up dating some dude that broke up with her via text. Sadly, I was out of town that weekend, my best shot. They made up and then she married him. In the end, her waist line caught up with her bust line.

employed here long enough. Instead, they are bringing in someone from outisde the company (and outside the state) who just so happens to be old friends with a person at the top of my company. He has no better experience than me. Also, they have not informed me that I didn't get the position yet, but they have interviewed him twice and it is a pretty much done deal. I feel like I am getting fvcked and not the good kind.

They go hire somebody from outside of the company. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't, but it would be tempting to try to get a justification out of your boss on that one.

So my direct boss and the person on top of them are both in some state of abandonment.

Why would my employees need to know when I'm going to quit?

If I'm working towards company mandated goals, it shouldn't matter whether it's me or someone else managing them.

OK gays, for years I have been posting as Greenr, a well-hung, awesome person from York County, South Carolina. In actuality I am only 5'4" tall, small penised, and named after my father, Phteven Spurrier. Yes, I'm coming out of the closet at Steve Spurrier Jr.
