without fatshon, Ellis Johnson, and the 2011 cakewalk schedule, I think 6-6 or 5-7 seems about right.

Although I would like to see them go 0-12 I think you are right about that prediction. Lattimore will be targeted. They don't have anyone to throw to now. Shaw is going to be eating grass all year (at least I hope)

I'm not one to be blinded by hate for our rival but they did fare pretty well when Lattimore went down. And people talked about how Alshon had a down year last year so someone had to be catching something.

they lose their entire defensive backfield which was a top 5 unit last year, they also have to revamp their Oline and do not have a go to receiver. They are banking on a true freshman to come in and take over for fatshon.
their schedule is also much tougher this year

They lost gilmore and cc whitlock. They return auguste, holloman, hampton, and brison williams who all started/got significant time. And Ace Sanders is there number one now supposedly.

Except Holloman is moving to the crappy linebacking corps they have now so you can't really say he is playing two positions now can you?
If Ace Sanders is your number one that says it all really. They are going to be thin in key areas and somehow are going to go 11-1?
Now while I don't think they are terrible by any stretch, 9-3 or 8-4 sound much more reasonable to me with their schedule and talent. Even 7-5 isn't crazy to believe if they lose a game they shouldn't, (Vandy is a decent shout) and lose the games they should, LSU, Arky, UGA, Clemson That is not even mentioning UF or Tenn which are both on the road and not as untalented as some would have you believe, plus both coaches are on the hot seat and need as many wins as possible to keep their jobs, something Spurrier doesn't have.

Holloman is playing safety. Just go over to cockytalk and read up on their posts. He is not a linebacker and never will be. Oh and swearinger returns as well. And they return every linebacker from last season. I wouldn't call that "crappy".

Cat is going to have at least 3 years to show improvement in UF.

Gilmore's big play capabilities will be missed. I understand that he has won a starting job on the Bills.

Gilmore is irreplaceable. And several teams we play usually recruit better than we do.

I do hate them but I'm not blinded. It was a realistic prediction. The Defense was the only thing keeping them in the game. D Coordinator is gone so it is going to take a drop I'm sure. I look for them to have 7-5 or worse.

Johnson did a good job, for the most part. To say that Ward is a question mark for Carolina is accurate.

He might be smoking it (grass) as Spurrier seems to care not one bit what you do off the field as long as you do well on the field.

I hope this writer is wrong. I want USuC to blow the SEC out of the water and win every game - until we get a shot at them.

Was talking to tigerbalm. He claimed they lost their entire secondary when they only lost 1 starter and get auguste back who wouldve been a starter last season.

ALWAYS overrated. Or way underrated.

USuC fans either think their team is going to win the NC or they think their teams stinks (and they cry "Wait until next year"). They NEVER have a realistic grasp of how good or bad their team is.
8-3 is more realistic this year --- IF that.
IF Lattimore goes down, 7-4 or 6-5 is closer to reality, and this would likely humble Spurlid to the point of retirement.

they lost a boatload of NFL draftees, lost some good coaches and play some talented teams this season. I see them going 6-6. With Clemson going 11-1, I expect an epic meltdown on FGF. I plan to sit back with my popcorn and enjoy the show.
