they seem to be peaking at the right time and we have momentum on our side, I think.
I'll bet this, though - IF we pull the monumental upset of OK this weekend, you'll see a LOT of Clemson folks buying tix to the WCWS, because perhaps the biggest hurdle will already have been overcome.
It would be like the 1980 Miracle on Ice. The "miracle" game wasn't the gold medal game, but it got us there. This series would be like that.

it is the FIRST game, then our odds jump exponentially.
The fact that nobody, and I mean NOBODY is giving us a chance should help our gals play loose.
I believe we actually NEED to take one game for future respect. There is no way that our team should have been relegated to the #16 seed, regardless of the poor regular season finish. You can bet that if the future Player of the Year was on one of the more well established programs, that would never have happened. Time to shake 'em up, GO, TIGERS!

Sometimes in sports things just go your way. Bloopers find holes, errors by your opponent, opposing pitcher is off her mark.
Let's hope they find a way. They should be loose because they are such a underdog.

To do that we’ll have to go through ALL of the Higher Ranked Teams . . . #2 (UCLA), #10 (LSU) and #11 (Arkansas) are gone . . .
We’ll have to go through Oklahoma at some point . . . Why not “head-to-head” this weekend? The “Softball Selection Committee” paired their Top Gladiator with their perceived “easiest route” to Victory . . . Let’s wreck that Party and leave them sobbing in their tissues!!!

Hard to do, but can you imagine OU being shut out of their personalized regular season/ regional/ super regional/ World Series home site. Must be nice .Remember when Baseball was in Greenville ACC Championship until we were “too favored”? So we got exiled to “neutral” Durham ?

If we play like we did this weekend there’s nobody we can’t beat … except Oklahoma. They are head and shoulders above everyone else. We can compete with everyone else. The one wildcard we have is with Cagle, so you never know. I’m praying we shock the world but don’t plan to freak out if we get handled. I think it’s a cool challenge and opportunity. Nothing to lose. Let’s go.

so we have the once in a lifetime opportunity to make a legendary upset of what is considered to be the greatest team of all time.
with that being said, I would not get hopes up too high. Playing at Norman in softball may be the most painful experience for away teams in college sports right now. They are absolutely bludgeoning teams, even top 10 ones.
I would say it would actually be a win to avoid a big blowout. Just get mentally prepared for a possible run rule loss and all the Okalhaoma fans going crazy with their players overly celebrating every single thing. Not a fun experience once that gets started.
Everyone in college softball who is not a Sooner fan will be pulling for us though.
