In true junge fashion I ignored pretty much everything you all said.
I think I remember Obed was Mazda and LakeBum was Kia and Nissan?
Anyone got a Passport that you can drive?

We seem to be trending back into GX460 territory, but the infotainment system is due to get a refresh next year, so I'm kind of hesitant again.
That said, wife is on an Explorer kick now thanks to the car mom. Of course, the one she tested was like $65k, and ain't nobody got time to pay that much for a fuggin Ford Explorer.

I do like the Infiniti QX80 but not for an extra $20K, my last Tahoe was such a turd I have a bad taste in my mouth with getting another one

My Ford was about 8500 under MSRP
The car I'm looking at now has two incentives that total $2,250, but add taxes and fees and that would be $850 below sticker. Not too good. So I see cars in Florida priced significantly lower. I may have one shipped here if I have to.

There were 2 when I bought my truck, $799 and $277. The $799 might have been "destination" charge and the $277 was titling and dealer.
I just saw the same thing with Honda, "our price is XX,### but the destination charge is $1,250."

Pro tip: do all your haggling over the phone.

In 2016 I found the exact car I wanted in a town about 2 hours away from me. Nailed down all the numbers including trade-in value for my old car over the phone before I left the house. Much less BS that way and you save yourself from having to sit around the dealership any longer than necessary. Cast a wide net and see who's the most willing to work with you. It's worth a little road trip to get the right car at the right price.
I looked at another car in 2016 and it was only after I test drove it that the salesman revealed the online price included $2000 in discounts I wasn't eligible for, so make sure the online price is the actual price before you waste your time.

Yeah, my net will go to FL if the local dealers won't discount at all. They definitely don't have much inventory locally (only 1 within 20 miles of me).

Call, get the car you want, fly in and spend 2 days driving it home. I looked at doing that for my last truck from Laura GMC in Illinois.

dealerships. I was haggling with this dude for about 2 hours, wife went to another dealership and haggled. We called each other when done, and wife was a better deal, so I walked. Guy ran me down, and offered less. Wife then walked out the other dealership, and he came down even more. This went on several times and we ended up I think around 20K on a $26-27K sticker price.

I told you last time I went 100% with your rec.
Don't seem to be nothin wrong with the Passport. Wifeof likes it, 0 problems with her 7 year old Honda. Why not? And most of the other vehicles are a little bit bigger, she's a small woman and doesn't want it too big.
